Internship at Sterntalerhof

Internship times:

Because of the longer introductory phase of training in the many dfferent areas offered, practice must extend over a minimum of 5 weeks and will admit only two participants at the same time.

The program consists of about 8 hours per day. Regular working hours are between 9 am and 2 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm.

Following mutual agreement, these times may vary as families are taken care of on an individual basis and season-dependent work on the site and the stables may be necessary.

Areas of work:

  • Assisting and helping with horse therapy units (TPV, riding pedagogy, hippotherapy, human relationships)
  • Guiding families and assistance work with all other therapeutic and pedagogic units
  • Participating in regular intervisions and sessions of reflection
  • Grooming and providing for therapy horses, including feeding and stable work
  • Helping with the preparation of meals, homework, and maintenance of the site
  • Leisure time activities for children and adolescents

Room and board:

Breakfast and supper are included if you reside at Sterntalerhof during the field work program. Lunch will be taken together with the family(-ies)

Trial week:

Should tensions arise between you and the team during the first week, both sides shall be obligated to bring up the problem and try to find a mutually acceptible solution by the end of the first week.
